PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Taylor was recently ranked as one of the top five advertising scholars worldwide as measured by publication in leading advertising journals over the past 10 years in an article published in Journal of Advertising. Dr. Taylor has provided consulting services to numerous businesses and organizations and has served as an expert witness in several court cases. Clients have included Viacom, General Motors, Philip Morris, U.S.A., McCann Erickson, Clear Channel Communications, Magic Media, Inc., Eller Media, Star Storage, Lamar Outdoor, Craig Realty, the Outdoor Advertising Association of America, the International Sign Association, Dechert LLP, Rossbacher and Associates, Mattioni and Associates, and the Center for Information on Beverage Alcohol (United Kingdom) as well as other companies. Professor Taylor has been named a Fulbright Senior Specialist by the Council of International Exchange of Scholars and has served as a Visiting Distinguished Professor at Korea University and at Ludwig Maximillians University on Germany. Taylor has taught courses in Korea, China, Germany and the Czech Republic. He has also given speeches or lectures at prestigious Universities, including Harvard, Columbia, University of Texas at Austin, and Ludwig Maximillians University (Munich), University of Amsterdam, Seoul National University and Rutgers University. He had also given speeches at the meetings of several major organizations, including ICORIA (European Advertising Association), the Academy of Marketing Science, the Korea Advertising Society, the International Sign Association, and the Transportation Research Board. He has provided testimony to the U.S. House of Representatives as well as state legislatures and has served as an expert witness in litigation involving advertising issues.
PUBLICATIONS
Professor Taylor has published numerous books, journals, and conference papers. He has published academic articles and book reviews in: Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research and many others. He serves on the Editorial Review Boards of International Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Advances in International Marketing, Psychology and Marketing, and Journal of Consumer Affairs. He also serves as an ad hoc reviewer for Journal of Marketing and other journals. Recently he has become a new editor of International Journal of Advertising.
