Why be normal? Implications of neuroscience to consumer conduct
PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

Dr. Zurawicki’s research has for a long time focused on the international business. In particular, he researched the Foreign Direct Investment as a function of host-countries’ attractiveness and image, and the barriers to exporting and foreign sourcing. Professor Zurawicki’s current interest pertains to the advances in the neuroscience and their application to the study of consumer behavior.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Professor Zurawicki has also been a consultant to the Ministry of Finance of Nicaragua, the Government of Latvia, Massachusetts Port Authority, and several private companies like American Express Bank, ARCOR (Argentina), Ferroatlantica (Spain). Since 1982 he has been a Professor of Marketing at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Prior to that appointment, he was the Associate Professor at the University of Warsaw and a Visiting Associate Professor at Concordia University (Montreal). Dr. Zurawicki presently teaches the “Brain of the Consumer”—the first MBA course of its kind in the USA.”

He is the author of four books and numerous articles in top journals like JIBS, Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, Journal of World Business, Metroeconomica.
